Client

DZS is a renowned publishing house in Slovenia. The company's offering revolves around school supplies, books, and office supplies. The company sells through its bookstore network and its webshop. The latter, as users shift online, their e-commerce operations gain importance.

Challenge

From parents to teachers, book lovers, and corporate purchasing officers, DZS’s clients represent a profoundly versatile audience, each with distinct requirements and expectations. For example, in school supplies, the purchasing decision sits between teachers and parents. Each teacher determines the list of books required for their class, amended with recommended notebooks, school bags, and stationery items that parents can choose from and submit the final order. It is a complex purchasing process that must be reflected online; According to DZS market research, parents consider convenience even more important than price, so creating a compelling user experience was paramount for the project's success.

Product requirements outlined a highly customized solution with a high level of personalization (grade and class-specific book and stationery lists for every elementary school in Slovenia)  Moreover, the project required complex integrations, including with some legacy systems.

Solution

Creatim UX team designed the user flows for each persona to create a compelling user experience. After the client had signed off the functional specification, the development team delivered the webshop in time, before the next school season purchasing period. The web shop is designed as an online platform that can be extended and upgraded with new features enhancing the experience and optimizing the client’s business processes even further.
